Sheamus and Rey Mysterio quickly came to support Cena.βMonday Night Rawβ in Boston β November 10: In his home state of Massachusetts, Cena made history once again. He faced Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio in a match that Triple H, WWE CCO, made possible in the ring moments before.
Mysterio, Intercontinental champion for 204 days, seemed to be in the best position to retain his title. He applied a β619β and a βFrog Splashβ to Cena, and attempted the pin. However, Cena got out and executed his βAttitude Adjustmentβ. Cena applied the move and then pinned Mysterio to win the match. With this victory, Cena became the last WWE wrestler to be a βGrand Slamβ champion, that is, to have held all the important WWE titles (Intercontinental Championship, Tag Team Championship, Heavyweight Championship and United States Championship).Crown Jewel β October 11: In the last match of one of WWEβs best rivalries, Cena defeated AJ Styles in Perth, Australia.
Cena and Styles pulled out all the stops for this match. Rollins arrived at the ring with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, who threw Punk against a commentary table. Rollins then stood in the ring and asked for a referee to cash in his briefcase.
