Tsitsipas and Goran Ivanisevic: End of a brief collaboration
Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas has ended his collaboration with coach Goran Ivanisevic, after less than two months of working together, according to the player himself, who was once number 3 in the world. Tsitsipas, currently ranked 29th, had appointed Ivanisevic as his coach in May, following a series of disappointing results in the Grand Slams.Tsitsipas expressed his gratitude to Ivanisevic “for the time, effort and energy he dedicated to me and my team”.Ivanisevic, who won Wimbledon as a player in 2001, had previously collaborated with Novak Djokovic, helping him achieve nine of his 24 Grand Slam titles, before leaving his team in March of last year. Subsequently, she had a brief period with the Kazakh Elena Rybakina, number 12 in the world, this season. As we now go our separate ways, I only have respect for Goran, not only for what he has achieved in tennis, but also for who he is as a person. I wish him the best in the future.
