Shanghai – Novak Djokovic demonstrated his resilience by overcoming a demanding match at the Shanghai Masters, where he defeated Jaume Munar with scores of 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. The match was characterized by high temperatures and humidity, which tested the physical condition of the Serbian tennis player. After losing the second set, Djokovic requested medical assistance, showing the wear and tear of the match. After a long exchange, Djokovic fell to the ground and needed attention from the medical team. He received treatment before the start of the third set, and managed to break Munar’s serve immediately, securing a crucial advantage in the match.

Djokovic is seeking his 41st title in the Masters category. In his next match, Djokovic will face Zizou Bergs from Belgium. On the other hand, Holger Rune, tenth seed, also advanced after a tough match against Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, with a final score of 6-4, 6-7 (7), 6-3.
