Arne Slot: “We keep fighting” despite the crisis at Liverpool
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has assured that he will “keep fighting” at the helm of the team, after conversations with the club’s board, despite the recent and worrying run of results.
The 4-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League was the ninth in the last 12 matches for Liverpool, who have lost their last three matches by three or more goals.
We’ve had the same conversations since I arrived. We keep fighting, we try to improve, that’s what we all try. But the conversations have been the same as since I’ve been here.

Faced with the question of whether he is angry with his players, the Liverpool coach added:
“Absolutely not, although I do agree that our standards haven’t been what we’re used to and want, so we believe we can play better than we are.”
The pressure is always present in a top-tier club, especially when defeats accumulate. However, Slot emphasized the need to maintain the fight and unity, values that, according to him, have characterized the club for years.
Liverpool will face West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday. They could have goalkeeper Alisson Becker back, who missed Wednesday’s match due to illness.
Midfielder Florian Wirtz could also be available after a muscle injury, while forward Hugo Ekitike will be evaluated after being substituted against PSV due to a back problem.
