Christian Nørgaard Joins Arsenal
Arsenal has announced the addition of Christian Nørgaard, captain of Brentford, to its ranks. The Danish midfielder, after six years at Brentford, arrives at the North London club, thus reinforcing its squad. Nørgaard was a key player for Brentford, especially after the team’s promotion to the Premier League in 2021. Last season, the Danish international started 34 games and accumulated 196 appearances for the club.
Arteta added that Nørgaard is a strong midfielder with excellent tactical awareness and versatility. He highlighted his physical presence and intelligence, qualities that will bring depth and balance to the team. “Christian will contribute a lot to the group, both on and off the field, and we are excited to start working with him in this new chapter of his career,” concluded the coach. Arsenal confirmed that Nørgaard will wear the number 16 shirt. The signing of Nørgaard represents Arsenal’s third addition in this summer market, following the arrivals of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martín Zubimendi. The club is close to closing a deal with Sporting CP for Viktor Gyökeres and continues negotiations to sign Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke.“We are delighted to welcome Christian to Arsenal.
