Manchester United investigates boot loss before UWCL match
Manchester United cayó 1-0 ante el SK Brann.
Manchester United launched an investigation after several of their players’ boots went missing during their trip to play the Women’s Champions League qualifying match against Norwegian team SK Brann on Thursday. The team was forced to buy several replacements in Norway hours before the first leg of the qualifier, which ended in a 1-0 defeat for Marc Skinner’s team.

We are a large store, but they were very lucky that we had enough boots in stock of the correct size.

Andre Gullord, owner of a local store
Andre Gullord, owner of a local shop, stated that the club spent several thousand pounds on the replacement of the boots. “They paid between 200 and 230 pounds for each pair and 30 pounds for the shin guards,” added Gullord. “We’ve had some players come in because they’ve left their boots behind, but never the whole team.” Midfielder Lisa Naalsund, a native of Bergen, told TV2 after the match that she had asked her mother to bring her some boots to the stadium. A United spokesperson stated: “A bag containing the boots of some of our players disappeared during the trip to Bergen. We are investigating how this happened. In the meantime, we have obtained new boots for all the affected players.”
