Liverpool has confirmed that Florian Wirtz, their recent summer signing, will wear the number 7 shirt for the upcoming season.This decision comes after the departure of Luis Díaz, who joined Bayern Munich.Díaz moved to the German team in a deal valued at £65.5 million ($86 million) earlier this week. Wirtz will inherit the number of the Colombian international, following his transfer for £100 million from Bayer Leverkusen in June.
- Milos Kerkez, who joined the club from Bournemouth, will wear number 6.
- Jeremie Frimpong, another new signing, has chosen number 30, the same as he had at Leverkusen.
- Hugo Ekitike, forward from Eintracht Frankfurt, will wear the number 22.
- As for the goalkeepers, Giorgi Mamardashvili will wear number 25, Freddie Woodman 28 and Armin Pecsi 41.
- Defender Conor Bradley has switched from number 84 to 12, and midfielder Trey Nyoni has moved from 98 to 42.
