Las Vegas will host the 2026 World Cup draw

Las Vegas has been selected as the host city for the FIFA World Cup 2026 draw, which will take place on December 5th. Sources close to the matter reported that the decision was made after ruling out other options in Canada and Mexico for the expanded tournament, which will feature 48 teams instead of 32 and will be played in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

December 5th, if I’m not mistaken, is precisely the day the draw takes place, or at the beginning of December.

Cedillo, who is promoting Mexico as the venue for the World Cup training camps, anticipated that the draw would be held in Las Vegas.

In 1994, when the United States last hosted the World Cup, the draw was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. However, that venue, along with others, is already booked for December 5th. According to sources, the most likely place is The Sphere, inaugurated two years ago, which has a 54,000-square-meter screen and a capacity for 17,500 people.
