Brazilian legend Kaká has addressed rumors about his possible incorporation into Carlo Ancelotti’s coaching staff, stating he is “ready” to help his country at the 2026 World Cup if the opportunity arises.
Kaká, who represented Brazil 92 times as a player, has been accumulating experience as a coach and expressed his desire to take on a role with the Brazilian national team. He was coached by Ancelotti both at AC Milan, where they won the Champions League together, and at Real Madrid.
If the team thinks I can help in any way, I think, at this moment, I am ready. I am prepared.

In an interview with Cazé TV, Kaká detailed his preparation since he stopped playing in 2017. He mentioned sports business courses at Harvard, in the United States, a coaching course at the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), and his experience in the national team and at the World Cup. “If the opportunity arises, I am ready to serve the Brazilian national team again,” he added.
CBF announced earlier this month that Ancelotti will end his time with Real Madrid at the end of the season and will take over on May 26 as the country’s first foreign coach.
Ancelotti’s debut at the helm of Brazil will be swift. His first match will be a World Cup qualifying clash against Ecuador on June 5. Five days later, Brazil will host Paraguay.
Brazil is in fourth place in the CONMEBOL standings for the World Cup, with the top six teams earning automatic entry to the 2026 World Cup, which will begin in just over 12 months.
Ancelotti’s contract extends until the end of the 2026 World Cup, with an option to extend.
