Manchester City Seeks to Bolster its Defense with Rayan Aït-Nouri
Manchester City is eyeing Wolverhampton’s left-back, Rayan Aït-Nouri, as part of their rebuilding plan for next season. Sources close to the club have confirmed their interest in the player.
Aït-Nouri, 23, is considered City’s main option to reinforce the left-back position. The club hopes to finalize his signing before the FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States.In addition to Aït-Nouri, the possibility of signing Juventus’ full-back, Andrea Cambiaso, has also been discussed internally.
Last season, Pep Guardiola used Josko Gvardiol and the young Nico O’Reilly in the left-back position. City has not had a specialist left-back since Benjamin Mendy’s last appearance in 2021.

City are also looking for a right-back, as team captain Kyle Walker is expected to leave the club permanently this summer.
Although the valuations of City and Wolverhampton currently differ, it is understood that both parties are willing to reach an agreement.
The Algerian international, who scored five goals in 35 matches last season, has one year remaining on his contract with Wolverhampton, with an option to extend it until 2026.Manchester City is working to close most of its summer signings before the Club World Cup.
The club has until June 10th to register new players before the tournament, which will begin in the United States at the end of this month.Wolverhampton has already lost a key player after Manchester United activated the £62.5 million release clause in Matheus Cunha’s contract. Wolves value Aït-Nouri at around £50 million.
