Brighton has set a price of 120 million euros for clubs interested in signing Carlos Baleba, according to sources.
The midfielder has sparked the interest of important clubs such as Manchester United and Manchester City. Pep Guardiola, City’s coach, is an admirer of the Cameroonian footballer, as is Rúben Amorim.
United hasn’t contacted Brighton yet, and any deal could be complicated if they finalize the signing of Benjamin Sesko.
The United would have reached an agreement for Sesko for around 85 million euros, including bonuses.
However, the incorporation of a midfielder is possible if United manages to transfer players considered expendable by Amorim, such as Alejandro Garnacho.
Baleba is happy at the Amex this summer, and a transfer seems more likely in the future.Carlos Baleba could be the next player to leave Brighton in a lucrative transfer.
Baleba has emerged as a key player under the direction of Fabian Hürzeler, adapting to the Premier League.
In the past season, Baleba played 34 games with Brighton in the Premier League, scoring three goals and contributing an assist.
Lille would receive 20% of any future transfer that exceeds the 30 million euros that Brighton paid to sign the player in 2023.
If Baleba leaves the club in a lucrative transfer, he would join the list of Brighton players who have been transferred for large sums to other Premier League clubs.
Moisés Caicedo, Marc Cucurella and João Pedro currently play for Chelsea.
Ben White, Yves Bissouma, and Alexis Mac Allister were signed by Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool, respectively.
