Barcelona Seeks to Bolster its Attack: Luis Díaz in the Crosshairs
Barcelona is considering Luis Díaz as the ideal candidate to reinforce its attack next season. However, the Catalan club is also evaluating other options due to the possible difficulties in signing the Colombian international from Liverpool.
Díaz, 28, is under contract with Liverpool until 2027, but recently suggested he would be willing to extend his stay at the Premier League club.
Barcelona continues to explore the possibility of signing the forward, with the intention of incorporating a winger, a central defender and a full-back this summer.
The club’s sporting director, Deco, has pointed out the dependence on Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, and the need to add depth in the attacking positions.
According to sources, Díaz is the player who best fits the profile that Barcelona is looking for, due to his ability to perform various roles.

Díaz, who has scored 17 goals this season, would bring experience to the young team. Barcelona’s financial situation will determine whether they can finalize the signing or if they must focus on more affordable options.
Barcelona have also shown interest in Marcus Rashford of Manchester United and Nico Williams of Athletic Club. Rashford was an option in January, while Williams, with a release clause of 58 million euros, was a target last summer.
Barcelona’s president, Joan Laporta, expressed optimism about the club’s financial situation ahead of the summer. However, they are still awaiting LaLiga’s approval for certain agreements, including the sale of VIP seats at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Once this situation is resolved, along with any player departures, Barcelona will have a better idea of what operations it can carry out this summer, although it is acknowledged that negotiating with Liverpool will not be easy.
