Valencia Strives to Retain Cristhian Mosquera Amid Arsenal Interest

Valencia has presented a new contract offer to Cristhian Mosquera, in an attempt to prevent his signing by Arsenal, according to sources close to the club.

The interest of Arsenal in the young defender has been widely reported. It was reported that the team led by Mikel Arteta had reached an agreement with Mosquera and had initiated negotiations with Valencia, with an offer close to 15 million pounds sterling (approximately 20.5 million dollars).

Faced with this situation, Valencia has reacted quickly to ensure Mosquera’s continuity in the team, at least for one more season. However, sources indicate that it is unlikely that the player will renew his contract in LaLiga, given the attractiveness of Arsenal’s offer.

Mosquera, 20 years old, has established himself as one of the most promising young central defenders in European football.

The player is already an international with the Spanish under-21 team and has been a key player for Valencia during the last two seasons.

In addition to Arsenal, RB Leipzig has also shown interest in the young defender, although sources indicate that Arsenal remains the main candidate to sign him.
