Kurtley Beale Suffers Injury and Misses Match against the British & Irish Lions

Once again, bad luck pursues Kurtley Beale. A few months after his expected return from an Achilles tendon injury, the player is once again sidelined due to a hamstring injury. This news comes just days before the start of the British & Irish Lions tour against the Western Force on Saturday night. Twelve years after his last match against the Lions with the Wallabies, Beale was preparing to play with the Force in Perth this Saturday. However, he will have to follow the match from the bench. Instead, Ben Donaldson has been released from the Wallabies team. Donaldson will travel from Sydney to Perth for the match. Originally, the opener was going to miss the match, as he would stay in Sydney preparing for next weekend’s test match between the Wallabies and Fiji, along with teammates Harry Potter, Carlo Tizzano and Jeremy Williams. Now, he will meet with other members of the Wallabies team, such as Nic White, Nick Champion de Crispny, Dylan Pietsch, Darcy Swain and Tom Robertson.

“Yes, I think they will win,” Donaldson said on Wednesday from the Wallabies camp. “It’s an incredible experience for them and a great challenge. They saw the Brumbies win 12 years ago, so it’s not impossible.”

“Everyone knows it will be a big challenge for the group, some guys who have only played a few games here could get a chance with the Force. They are working hard.” “I was there the last two weeks training with them and they are giving their all, they are training very hard and at the same time they are having a little fun. Kurtley Beale has spoken to the group about really enjoying the next two weeks, as have ‘Whitey’ [Nic White] and Sam Carter.” “They are very excited and let’s hope they get the victory.”
