Historical Performance of the Lions

The challenge for Andy Farrell is to lead the Lions to their second tour victory in almost 30 years, having achieved success only in 2013 in Australia.
That summer, Warren Gatland’s team won the series 2-1, including a decisive 41-16 victory.
However, the two subsequent Lions teams have failed to achieve the same accomplishments.
The 2017 tour of New Zealand ended in a draw, with the All Blacks and the Lions winning one match each before drawing 16-16 in the final match.
The 2021 tour of South Africa, which was played under the shadow of Covid, started well, with the Lions getting a 22-17 win, but the Springboks won the next two matches and the series.
