NHL Ranking: Analysis for Fantasy Hockey
Another week in the 2025-26 NHL season, and the Colorado Avalanche remain at the top of the Power Rankings, according to the Alofoke Deportes voting panel. But beyond ranking the best and worst teams in the league, we’re going to help fantasy hockey managers. This week, in addition to our ranking from 1 to 32, we’ve asked Alofoke Deportes fantasy analysts to identify a player from each team that managers should consider adding to their rosters. Note: The above ranking for each team refers to the previous edition.

1. Colorado Avalanche
Previous ranking: 1 Percentage of points: 80.6% Victor Olofsson is a viable option if selected to replace Valeri Nichushkin (injured) on a scoring line for the Avalanche, in addition to his place on Colorado’s top power play. As it stands, though inconsistent, the 30-year-old is producing enough with the extra skater to compensate for his fantasy-related deficiencies. Next seven days: vs. NYI (November 16), vs. NYR (November 20)2. New Jersey Devils
Previous ranking: 4 Percentage of points: 73.5% Dawson Mercer has gone from being a depth player on the third line to a mainstay in the top six. He is pushing for the team lead in goals and delivering more overall stats than most mid-tier forwards. Mercer ranks as a top-50 fantasy skater this season. Next seven days: @ WSH (November 15), @ TB (November 18), @ FLA (November 20)3. Anaheim Ducks
Previous ranking: 8 Percentage of points: 67.6% The Ducks are having fun. No one more than Beckett Sennecke, competing on a scoring line with Cutter Gauthier and Mason McTavish. The best thing is for deep league managers to have a little patience, the 19-year-old tends to score sporadically. But everything works in the long run. Next seven days: @ MIN (November 15), vs. UTA (November 17), vs. BOS (November 19), vs. OTT (November 20)4. Carolina Hurricanes
Previous ranking: 7 Percentage of points: 68.8% Many managers abandoned Nikolaj Ehlers at the beginning. Don’t be one of them. After a slow start, he has scored points in five consecutive games. He didn’t score a goal in October, but now he’s producing and is still available in too many leagues. Next seven days: vs. VAN (November 14), vs. EDM (November 15), @ BOS (November 17), @ MIN (November 19)5. Dallas Stars
Previous ranking: 11 Percentage of points: 69.4% This unproductive start is unusual for Tyler Seguin. It was only last season when the experienced center scored 21 points in a 20-game campaign shortened by injury. At least keep Seguin on your fantasy radar in anticipation of more productive days ahead. Next seven days: vs. PHI (November 15), vs. NYI (November 18), @ VAN (November 20)6. Montreal Canadiens
Previous ranking: 2 Percentage of points: 64.7% Rookie goaltender Jakub Dobes is still on waivers in a third of leagues, which seems like a mistake. He’s been a force in his limited starts and is clearly separating himself from Sam Montembeault in fantasy value. Even if the playing time isn’t consistent yet, stash him now before it is. Next seven days: vs. BOS (November 15), @ CBJ (November 17), vs. WSH (November 20)7. Winnipeg Jets
Previous ranking: 3 Percentage of points: 58.8% Recovered from his ankle injury, Cole Perfetti is finally settling into the second scoring line and the number 1 power play in Winnipeg. The perceived lineup replacement for a departed Nikolaj Ehlers will have his name on the scoresheet soon enough. Next seven days: @ CGY (November 15), vs. CBJ (November 18)8. Boston Bruins
Previous ranking: 20 Percentage of points: 57.9% Morgan Geekie deserves the spotlight, but a recovering Elias Lindholm has been just as impactful when healthy. Still week-to-week, he should soon reunite with Geekie and David Pastrnak at even strength and on the power play. Lindholm’s early-season production hinted at a bounce-back season. Next seven days: @ MTL (November 15), vs. CAR (November 17), @ ANA (November 19)9. Pittsburgh Penguins
Previous ranking: 10 Percentage of points: 61.8% Anthony Mantha’s resurgence predates the team’s injury woes. He has scored eight goals and resembles the early-career version that flirted with 30. Injuries have reshuffled roles, but Mantha’s form should keep him fantasy relevant even as the lineup stabilizes. Next seven days: vs. NSH (November 14), vs. NSH (November 16)10. Vegas Golden Knights
Previous ranking: 5 Percentage of points: 59.4% Accompanying Jack Eichel and Mitch Marner, winger Ivan Barbashev is scoring points at even strength with aplomb. And, unlike his prodigious linemates, Barbashev is largely available in fantasy competition. Next seven days: @ STL (November 15), @ MIN (November 16), vs. NYR (November 18), @ UTA (November 20)11. Los Angeles Kings
Previous ranking: 16 Percentage of points: 61.1% Going back in time in Southern California, Corey Perry is clearly in a scoring mood. While the 40-year-old is unlikely to maintain a points-per-game pace all season, he certainly deserves a spot on your deepest fantasy roster right now. Next seven days: @ OTT (November 15), @ WSH (November 17), @ SJ (November 20)12. Tampa Bay Lightning
Previous ranking: 17 Percentage of points: 56.3% Trade target alert: Brayden Point. His scoring has been strangely cold, but the long-term numbers say it’s just variance. He ranks 19th among skaters in total fantasy production over the last seven seasons and 11th over the last three; this ideal trade window won’t last. Next seven days: @ FLA (November 15), vs. VAN (November 16), vs. NJ (November 18), vs. EDM (November 20)13. Utah Mammoth
Previous ranking: 6 Percentage of points: 58.8% The bad luck is over! After a dry start in November, JJ Peterka is producing again with his new team in Utah. The second-line winger is still available in about a third of fantasy leagues. Next seven days: vs. NYI (November 14), @ ANA (November 17), @ SJ (November 18), vs. VGK (November 20)14. Chicago Blackhawks
Previous ranking: 21 Percentage of points: 58.8% Playing with Connor Bedard has its advantages. Ask forward Andre Burakovsky, who has 14 points in 15 games, including five with the extra skater. However, he’s somehow still available in nearly three-quarters of fantasy leagues. Next seven days: vs. TOR (November 15), vs. CGY (November 18), vs. SEA (November 20)15. Ottawa Senators
Previous ranking: 22 Percentage of points: 61.1% Shane Pinto hasn’t cooled off, he’s just shifted from goals to assists. His line with Michael Amadio and Claude Giroux is driving play, outscoring opponents 9-3 so far. Pinto remains a consistent fantasy contributor, even if the production looks a little different. Next seven days: vs. LA (November 15), @ ANA (November 20)16. Philadelphia Flyers
Previous ranking: 15 Percentage of points: 59.4% Dan Vladar has earned consideration for streaming matchups after winning six of nine starts. The pace might slow down, but he’s been steady behind a more competitive Flyers team. He’s not a set starter, but he’s a worthwhile spot start in daily formats. Next seven days: @ STL (November 14), @ DAL (November 15), vs. STL (November 20)17. Seattle Kraken
Previous ranking: 14 Percentage of points: 61.8% In one of the most heartwarming stories of this season, Matt Murray is proving he can still perform, with three solid to excellent starts for the Kraken. The veteran could be a viable streaming option if he can steal appearances from Philipp Grubauer, even once starter Joey Daccord is recovered. Upcoming seven days: vs. SJ (November 15), @ DET (November 18), @ CHI (November 20)18. Detroit Red Wings
Previous ranking: 9 Percentage of points: 58.8% Simon Edvinsson is a quietly useful depth defenseman. His combination of blocks, hits, and modest offense keeps him fantasy relevant, and his pairing with Moritz Seider boasts the best shot attempt percentage in the NHL. He’s a sleeper pick for deeper formats. Upcoming seven days: vs. BUF (November 15), @ NYR (November 16), vs. SEA (November 18), vs. NYI (November 20)19. Washington Capitals
Previous ranking: 13 Percentage of points: 50% Here’s when Ovechkin heats up; he had seven goals in five games at this time last season. If history repeats itself, his slow start makes him a trade target. He’s 40, but the engine still works. Next seven days: vs. NJ (November 15), vs. LA (November 17), vs. EDM (November 19), @ MTL (November 20)20. Edmonton Oilers
Previous ranking: 18 Percentage of points: 52.6% Forward Zach Hyman is back this week. Pick him up before he starts scoring as a member of the Oilers’ top six and the number 1 power play. The 33-year-old winger won’t be available in more than half of fantasy leagues for long. Next seven days: @ CAR (November 15), @ BUF (November 17), @ WSH (November 19), @ TB (November 20)21. New York Rangers
Previous ranking: 26 Percentage of points: 55.6% Gabe Perreault debuted on Monday on a scoring line and added an assist. After 10 points in nine AHL games, he could be the offensive spark that New York needs. In deeper formats, he’s a solid speculative add as the Rangers look for secondary scoring, or maybe just primary. Next seven days: @ CBJ (November 15), vs. DET (November 16), @ VGK (November 18), @ COL (November 20)22. New York Islanders
Previous ranking: 23 Percentage of points: 58.8% Mathew Barzal, Kyle Palmieri, and Emil Heineman are viable additions to an offense that has been quietly consistent. Barzal is available in less than half of the leagues, Palmieri in a little more, and Heineman almost everywhere: the three offer scoring depth if you need it. Next seven days: @ UTA (November 14), @ COL (November 16), @ DAL (November 18), @ DET (November 20)23. San Jose Sharks
Previous ranking: 30 Percentage of points: 52.8% While everyone “oooh” and “ahhh” (rightfully so) about what Macklin Celebrini is achieving in his second NHL season, know that a newly healthy William Eklund is also contributing at a valuable pace. And, unlike Celebrini, you might be able to get Eklund on your league’s waiver wire. Upcoming seven days: @ SEA (November 15), vs. UTA (November 18), vs. LA (November 20)24. Florida Panthers
Previous ranking: 24 Percentage of points: 55.9% The Stanley Cup-winning line is back, and that’s great news for Eetu Luostarinen. He’s widely available, produces when flanking Brad Marchand and Anton Lundell, and adds extra value on the hits. Next seven days: vs. TB (November 15), vs. VAN (November 17), vs. NJ (November 20)25. Toronto Maple Leafs
Previous ranking: 12 Percentage of points: 50% Oliver Ekman-Larsson is getting a long look on the top power play. With the first unit still underperforming, it’s worth conveying the hope that the opportunity will turn into points. Ride the role while it lasts. Upcoming seven days: @ CHI (November 15), vs. STL (November 18), vs. CBJ (November 20)26. Columbus Blue JacketsPrevious ranking: 19 Percentage of points: 55.9% Adam Fantilli is an ideal trade target. His slow start masked his potential, but he is heating up after moving alongside Kirill Marchenko. While the line with Sean Monahan had solid numbers and could tempt another deck, Fantilli is currently the top dog and is on the rise. Next seven days: vs. NYR (November 15), vs. MTL (November 17), @ WPG (November 18), @ TOR (November 20)27. Minnesota Wild
Previous ranking: 29 Percentage of points: 50% Back on the top line and Minnesota’s power play after missing the start of 2025-26, Mats Zuccarello is already back in the business of regularly recording points. While the diminutive veteran isn’t as flashy in the shallow league fantasy sphere, he gets the job done in deeper leagues. Skating alongside Kirill Kaprizov helps. Next seven days: vs. ANA (November 15), vs. VGK (November 16), vs. CAR (November 19)28. Vancouver Canucks
Previous ranking: 27 Percentage of points: 47.2% Everything Kiefer Sherwood does is score goals, ranking among the league leaders so far. The Canucks’ secret playmaker who finds the net is also the league leader in hits, making the left wing a must-start in leagues that reward both categories. Next seven days: @ CAR (November 14), @ TB (November 16), @ FLA (November 17), vs. DAL (November 20)29. St. Louis Blues
Previous ranking: 31 Percentage of points: 44.1% The Blues don’t have to win another game for Justin Faulk to remain useful in the fantasy competition that rewards production and defensive play; the veteran defenseman ranks second in St. Louis in points and blocked shots. That might partly explain why the Blues are ranked where they are. Upcoming seven days: vs. PHI (November 14), vs. VGK (November 15), @ TOR (November 18), @ PHI (November 20)30. Buffalo Sabres
Previous ranking: 25 Percentage of points: 41.2% Do not overlook the value of Mattias Samuelsson. He only has six points, but his blocked shots and peripheral stats make him worth including on the list. That kind of depth allows you to explore D-for-D trades knowing you have a reliable replacement value sitting on your bench. Next seven days: @ DET (November 15), vs. EDM (November 17), vs. CGY (November 19)31. Nashville Predators
Previous ranking: 28 Percentage of points: 38.9% Even before getting his first hat-trick in the NHL, forward Matthew Wood was on a roll with three goals and three assists in six games. Considering how the season is developing (again) in Tennessee, it’s only a matter of time before the rookie gets more quality minutes. Add him before the next multi-goal contest. Next seven days: vs. PIT (November 14), vs. PIT (November 16)32. Calgary Flames
Previous ranking: 32 Percentage of points: 31.6% Just a few days ago, Jonathan Huberdeau was enjoying a six-game point streak before his current three-game scoreless streak. On the bright side, he’s still consistently shooting on net. If another productive run is just around the corner, the first-line winger could be worth a look in extra-deep fantasy leagues. Next seven days: vs. WPG (November 15), @ CHI (November 18), @ BUF (November 19)
