Greg Cronin Takes the Helm of the Iowa Wild
The former Anaheim Ducks coach, Greg Cronin, has been named the new head coach of the Iowa Wild, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Minnesota Wild. The news was confirmed on Monday, marking a new chapter in the experienced coach’s career. Cronin, 62, was fired by the Ducks on April 19, after posting a 62-87-15 record in two seasons.
Previously, Cronin served as an assistant coach in the NHL for the New York Islanders (1998-2003, 2014-18) and the Toronto Maple Leafs (2011-14). He was also a head coach at Northeastern University from 2005 to 2011.We are thrilled to have a coach of Greg’s caliber behind the bench in Iowa.
