METAIRIE, Louisiana – New Orleans Saints defensive end Chase Young will not participate in the upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals. Saints coach Kellen Moore confirmed that Young (calf) and offensive guard Trevor Penning (toe) are out for this weekend’s game. On the other hand, defensive back Alontae Taylor, who missed several weeks of preseason due to a groin injury, has returned to training and will be available to play against the Cardinals, according to Moore. Moore indicated that Young’s injury will be evaluated weekly, although the player does not seem worried that it will become a prolonged problem.
When asked if the calf injury was a long-term concern, Young responded firmly.I feel good, very good. I feel good, that’s all I’m going to say.

Given Young’s absence, the likely starters at defensive end would be Carl Granderson and Cameron Jordan.Of course not!
