Injuries Plague the Wallabies: Paenga-Amosa Receives Emergency Call

Another blow for the Wallabies. Joe Schmidt’s team, already physically and psychologically affected, faces a critical moment that could mark a turning point in the history of Australian sport.

From outside the team, Brandon Paenga-Amosa has received an emergency call from Schmidt to join the bench in the third and final match of Australia against the British and Irish Lions in Sydney.

Billy Pollard has been promoted to the starting team after the first-choice hooker, David Porecki, was ruled out on Friday due to a leg injury. Paenga-Amosa quickly joined the camp to join the team.

This late restructuring comes after prominent forwards Allan Alaalatoa and Rob Valetini were already ruled out for one of the Wallabies’ most significant matches.

A defeat at Accor Stadium would condemn the Wallabies to their first 3-0 series sweep at home by the Lions since 1904.

To make matters worse, Matt Faessler, from the Queensland Reds team, initially selected ahead of Pollard as a reserve hooker, was also ruled out after suffering a calf injury during the week.
