Tyler Shough Secures Million-Dollar Contract with the Saints

New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough has agreed to a fully guaranteed contract worth $10.795 million, according to his agent, Erik Burkhardt.

This agreement comes just days before the start of the Saints’ training camp, which will begin on Wednesday at the team’s facilities in Metairie, Louisiana.

Shough, who is expected to compete with Spencer Rattler for the starting quarterback position, was selected with the number 40 pick of the 2025 NFL draft. He is the latest draft pick to receive a fully guaranteed contract, following a string of second-round pick deals in recent days.

Shough’s contract with New Orleans also includes an annual roster bonus structure, something that no other undrafted player has, by which Shough receives most of his compensation each year during the first week of training camp.

The Saints have reached an agreement with the nine selections from their 2025 draft.

Jonathan Bullard Bolsters Saints’ Defense

Additionally, the Saints reached a one-year agreement with defensive end Jonathan Bullard. Bullard, 31, spent the last three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and started 17 games last year.

In 2023, Bullard achieved a personal record of 44 total tackles and two sacks for the Vikings in 14 starts.

The Chicago Bears selected Bullard in the third round of the 2016 draft, and he spent the first three seasons of his career there.
