Michael Phelps Joins the Ravens to Teach Swimming

The Baltimore Ravens are making waves in the NFL by having the help of the most decorated Olympian of all time. Michael Phelps agreed to teach the Ravens how to swim. Phelps, a Baltimore native and a fervent supporter of the team, won an Olympic record of 23 gold medals in swimming. The initiative arose when cornerback Marlon Humphrey posted a video on social media requesting Phelps’ help. In the video, Humphrey, along with offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, safety Kyle Hamilton, and tight end Charlie Kolar, recorded themselves at the team’s new pool, lining up in a row before jumping into the water. They revealed that one in three Ravens players cannot swim.

Kolar commented that he did not expect Humphrey to publish the video on social media, believing that he would send it directly to Phelps.
