Cordarrelle Patterson announced his departure from the Pittsburgh Steelers via social media. The 34-year-old player shared the news on his X account with a sarcastic tone.

Patterson had one year remaining on a two-year, $6 million contract that he signed with the Steelers last year. This decision allows the team to save $2.8 million in cap space. Since his arrival in the NFL in 2013, Patterson has achieved nine kick return touchdowns, making him the league’s all-time leader in this category. However, the Steelers only used him on 11 kick returns last season. In the previous season, the four-time Pro Bowl selection participated in 13 games with the Steelers, accumulating a total of 215 yards and one touchdown.
