Drake London, Falcons receiver, suffers knee injury
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London is in a “week-to-week” situation due to a knee injury, according to head coach Raheem Morris.
London left the game against the Carolina Panthers in the final quarter, in the 30-27 overtime loss. Morris detailed that London is facing problems with the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) in his left knee.
Before leaving the game, London achieved seven receptions for a total of 119 yards. This was his third consecutive game surpassing 100 yards and his fifth encounter with more than 100 yards in the Falcons’ last six games. In the league, London is tied for seventh place in receptions (60), fourth in receiving yards (810), and sixth in receiving touchdowns (6).
The Falcons also suffered the loss of quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who will be out for an indefinite time due to a left knee injury. Penix will be placed on the injured reserve list and is expected to miss the rest of the season.
