Dak Prescott Makes History with the Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott, has reached a significant milestone in his career, solidifying his name in the franchise’s history. Prescott now tops the Dallas Cowboys’ passing yards list, an achievement that came after an outstanding performance on the field. The crucial moment arrived in the third quarter of the game against the Philadelphia Eagles, with a 9-yard connection to George Pickens. This play allowed Prescott to surpass Tony Romo, who accumulated 34,183 passing yards during his career. Prescott was only one yard away from reaching Romo’s mark after a one-yard touchdown pass to Pickens, with 21 seconds left to finish the first half. This season, Prescott had already managed to become the franchise leader in completed passes, adding 3,033 before Sunday’s game. Regarding individual records, Prescott ranks second in pass attempts, just behind Troy Aikman, and is also second in touchdown passes, surpassed only by Romo. In last week’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Prescott became the third Cowboys quarterback to record at least 80 wins.

I am honored. Grateful to be healthy and to be in this position to achieve it. When you’ve played this game long enough and can stay healthy, with my expectations of how my game is, that’s supposed to happen. So I’m just grateful, honored, and super grateful to be playing a game I love at this high level.
