Commanders: McLaurin and Brown, out for the game against the Chargers

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers due to a lingering right quadriceps injury.

The Washington team also confirmed the loss of receiver Noah Brown.

The Commanders, with a 2-2 record, will face the Chargers, who have a 3-1 record, this Sunday.

Since the team will travel to Los Angeles on Thursday night, they were able to rule out the players who did not make the trip. However, quarterback Jayden Daniels was included in the trip, suggesting he could start after missing two games due to a left knee sprain.

McLaurin suffered the quadriceps injury while attempting to enter the end zone after a 56-yard reception against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 3. The player did not participate in Sunday’s 34-27 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Brown, who was dealing with groin and knee injuries, has missed two consecutive games.

McLaurin was working on a separate field with the athletic trainers on Thursday, the first time he was seen in that situation during the practices open to the media. He was running sprints at a speed of between half and three-quarters. Brown has also been working with the athletic trainers for the last two days.

On Wednesday, coach Dan Quinn stated that both players were progressing favorably, but did not specify when they might return.

Two other players, cornerback Mike Sainristil and Deebo Samuel, did not participate in the practices of the last two days, but they did travel with the team. Both were working at almost maximum speed during the exercises on a field separate from the rest of their teammates.
