Antonio Brown Arrested After Altercation at Boxing Event

In the early hours of Saturday, former NFL player Antonio Brown was briefly detained by the police following a shooting altercation at a boxing event in Miami. Brown himself confirmed this through his social media.

According to the official statement from the Miami police, officers responded to the area around 3 a.m. following an alert from the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system. Officer Kiara Delva, a spokesperson for the department, reported that several people were questioned, but no arrests were made. No injuries were reported at the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing, and Delva was unable to confirm the names of those involved.

In videos spread on social media, Brown is observed involved in a fight with several people during the boxing event, organized by the popular streamer Adin Ross. In the images, he is seen apparently holding a black gun while chasing someone. Shortly after, gunshots are heard off-camera.

Another video shows Brown, with his hands behind his back, being escorted off the premises by an officer.

In his social media statement, Brown added that he was “temporarily detained by the police until they heard my version of events and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED”.

In his statement, Brown did not mention the shots.

Antonio Brown, who was one of the most prominent receivers in the NFL, played for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2010 to 2018. His professional career was affected by various problems on and off the field. He ended his career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
