Less than a month before the start of the NBA season, Boston Celtics fans might be worried about Jayson Tatum’s absence.
However, Tatum seems to be doing everything possible to speed up his return to the courts.
Normally, recovering from a torn Achilles tendon takes up a large part of a full season. The Celtics have documented Tatum’s recovery, showing him in videos at the gym on social media. In August, he attended a New York Patriots practice without the need for a walking boot or any kind of support. The first thing is that I haven’t said I won’t play this season.

Tatum has been in constant contact with other NBA players who suffered the same injury last season: Damian Lillard, Dejounte Murray, and Tyrese Haliburton. The most important thing is a complete recovery. And I’m not in a hurry… at all. But I’m also not going to rehab six days a week for nothing.

The Celtics will start the season against the Philadelphia 76ers on October 22 in Boston. We’ve all been in communication… Dejounte, Dame, Tyrese… we’re all at different points in our recovery. I write them all the time to ask what you can do and what you’re doing in your workouts. We’re all in the same boat, we just keep in touch.
