Khris Middleton, the three-time NBA All-Star, has exercised his player option for $33.3 million for the 2025-26 season, according to sources close to him.
Middleton, who was traded to the Washington Wizards last season, has been a prominent figure in the NBA for many years.
In his 14th season in the league, Middleton has dealt with injuries in recent years, including recovery from surgery on both ankles last season, which limited his participation to 37 games.
Despite his limited time on the court, Middleton proved to be an efficient scorer and an effective playmaker. His true shooting percentage was one of the highest of his career, and he averaged nearly 19 points and 6.4 assists per 36 minutes played.
Middleton went from being a G League player to an NBA All-Star, thanks to his ability to complement Giannis Antetokounmpo on the Bucks.
During a five-year period, Middleton averaged over 20 points on four occasions, and was a key piece alongside Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday, leading Milwaukee to their first NBA championship in 50 years.
