Aaron Nesmith Out with Knee Injury

Indiana Pacers coach Rick Carlisle announced that Aaron Nesmith will be out of the courts for at least a month due to a left knee injury. The forward suffered the injury during the Pacers’ loss in Phoenix on Thursday.

He’ll probably be out at least four weeks. We’ll talk on December 15th. But it’s very good news, very, very good news. He’s not wearing a splint. He’s walking. I say it’ll probably be four weeks. That doesn’t mean it can’t be less. It’s not clear at this point. But he’s doing very well and the news was very, very good.

  • Andrew Nembhard, who has just returned after missing six games with a shoulder injury.
  • Obi Toppin, was averaging 14 points in three games before suffering a stress fracture in his right foot.
Nesmith was averaging 15.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 11 games, his personal best. He scored 31 points, also his personal record, in the Pacers’ only victory against Golden State on November 1st. The Pacers started the night with a 1-11 record.
