Derrick Jones Jr. Injured in Match Against Celtics

Clippers forward Derrick Jones Jr. had to be helped off the court after suffering a right knee injury during the second quarter of the game against the Celtics, which ended in a 121-118 loss for Los Angeles on Sunday. Jones was going to dispute a loose ball when he collided with Boston’s Jaylen Brown, who hit Jones’ leg with his arm. The player grabbed his knee and rolled on the ground showing signs of pain before being helped off the court, unable to fully support his leg. Brown was penalized for a foul on the play.
