Free agent center Bismack Biyombo has agreed to a one-year contract to return to the San Antonio Spurs. The news was confirmed this Monday.
The agreement between the Spurs and Biyombo’s representatives, from the Wasserman agency, was finalized for what will be his fifteenth season in the NBA. Biyombo averaged 5.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 28 games last season.
Biyombo joined the Spurs in February and now returns as a backup center, behind Victor Wembanyama and Luke Kornet.
Since being selected in the seventh overall position in the 2011 NBA draft, Biyombo has played for seven league teams. In 867 games (377 as a starter), he averages 5.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 19.5 minutes per game.
