BOCA CHICA – The Directorate of the National Baseball Commissioner (DCNB), led by former Major League player Junior Noboa, held a training talk for New York Yankees prospects at their academy in the country. The main objective of this initiative is to strengthen essential values on and off the field for young talents.

Focus on Comprehensive Training

The day focused on crucial topics such as integrity, discipline, decision-making, and emotional management. These aspects are considered fundamental in the training of young people who aspire to a career in professional baseball. Diogenes de la Cruz, representing Noboa, coordinated the activity, promoting an ongoing orientation program for MLB academy players and independent programs.

Sports psychology specialist Daniel Ramírez offered tools to strengthen the competitive mindset, highlighting the importance of acting with focus, emotional control, and responsibility.

Ramírez also emphasized that belonging to an organization like the Yankees implies adopting a culture based on excellence, discipline, and tradition. Ysmelin Alcántara shared his experience in professional baseball, motivating prospects to make conscious decisions and to maintain appropriate conduct at all times. The academy, with an international character, brings together young people from the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, Haiti and Hungary, all of them with the goal of reaching high-level baseball. Carolina Crespo, Joel Álvarez, and Karla Lister, representatives of the Yankees’ educational area, positively valued the DCNB initiative, highlighting its impact on the comprehensive training of the players. These actions are part of the DCNB’s work to strengthen education, ethics, and the integral development of prospects, with the aim of raising the level of Dominican baseball and ensuring better preparation for its future figures.
