New York – The New York Yankees held a moving ceremony at Yankee Stadium this Thursday, honoring the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001. The ceremony featured the participation of manager Aaron Boone and pitchers Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodón, who placed a bouquet of flowers at the Monument Park monument, dedicated to the memory of the fallen and the bravery of the rescuers. The organization issued an official statement, highlighting the heroism of those who sacrificed their lives and the memory of those who lost their lives. The ceremony included the visit of former President Donald Trump, accompanied by club owner Hal Steinbrenner and team president Randy Levine. This was the first time a sitting president attended a game at the stadium inaugurated in 2009.“It’s something you truly feel. Honoring the victims, the Pentagon, the Twin Towers, the rescue dogs and the firefighters is a very meaningful experience every time we do it,” Boone said.
