Wembanyama Leads NBA All-Defensive First Team

The NBA has announced the ideal defensive team of the 2025-2026 season, highlighting the presence of Frenchman Victor Wembanyama, who is solidifying himself as a dominant force in the league. The San Antonio Spurs player was unanimously chosen, obtaining the maximum possible score from the voters.

Holmgren placed second in the voting, followed by Thompson, Gobert, and White, respectively. The choice of Wembanyama comes after being named NBA Defensive Player of the Year, also unanimously. Wembanyama succeeds his compatriot Rudy Gobert, who has been recognized as the best defender on multiple occasions.
