Karl-Anthony Towns to Represent the Knicks in the 2026 NBA All-Star Game
The New York Knicks’ center, Karl-Anthony Towns, has been selected as a reserve player for the Eastern Conference for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, the league announced on Sunday night.
Towns will join teammate Jalen Brunson, who was chosen as a starter, on the East team for the game to be played on February 15 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, home of the Clippers.
The Knicks player is part of the group of seven Eastern reserves, along with Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers), Jalen Johnson (Hawks), Pascal Siakam (Pacers), Norman Powell (Heat), Scottie Barnes (Raptors) and Jalen Duren (Pistons).
For the Western Conference, the players selected as reserves were Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), Jamal Murray (Nuggets), Chet Holmgren (Thunder), Kevin Durant (Rockets), Devin Booker (Suns), and LeBron James (Lakers).
With this selection, Karl-Anthony Towns adds his sixth participation in an All-Star Game, having been previously selected in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2024 and 2025, solidifying himself as one of the most outstanding players in the NBA.
In the 2025-26 season, Towns averages 20 points and 11.8 rebounds per game in 45 games, averaging 31.6 minutes per game, being a key player for the Knicks.
The presence of two New York players in the All-Star game highlights the team’s impact and prominence in the Eastern Conference during the current season.
