Team Stars Crowned Champion of the 2026 All-Star Game

INGLEWOOD, California – Team Stars won the 2026 All-Star Game championship after a resounding 47-21 victory over Team Stripes at the Intuit Dome. Anthony Edwards was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the event.

Karl-Anthony Towns stood out at the event, securing his first All-Star MVP after scoring a crucial three-pointer to tie the first game of the all-against-all format and adding eight points in the final match.

For the fourth consecutive year, the NBA presented a new format, pitting two teams of American players against a team representing the rest of the world, with the aim of increasing competitiveness in an Olympic year. The experiment proved successful, as the intensity surpassed that of previous editions.

In the group stage, Team Stripes initially defeated Stars with a three-pointer by De’Aaron Fox at the buzzer. However, in the final, the Stars took revenge led by Edwards, while their opponents showed signs of exhaustion after playing three mini-games in a row.

Victor Wembanyama was one of the most outstanding figures of Team World, leading his team’s scoring in two games, although he did not score in the final. The French player set the competitive pace of the event, as recognized by Edwards.

Scottie Barnes defined the opening game with a three-pointer in overtime, while Kawhi Leonard shone with 31 points in the third game of the preliminary phase. In the final, Tyrese Maxey led the Team Stars offense with nine units.

Commissioner Adam Silver expressed his gratitude to the players for the intensity shown, in an edition that sought to restore the competitive character to the mid-season spectacle.

Among the notable attendees was former President Barack Obama, who received an ovation from the audience.
