In the semifinals, Sinner will face the Serbian Novak Djokovic, who also advanced to this instance.

Djokovic Advances Due to Musetti’s Retirement

Novak Djokovic secured his place in the semifinals due to the withdrawal of his opponent, the Italian Lorenzo Musetti, who suffered an injury.

Musetti, despite having won the first two sets with scores of 6-4 and 6-3, was forced to abandon the match due to a right leg adductor injury.

The injury occurred at the beginning of the third set, after the second game, forcing Musetti to request medical assistance. Although he tried to continue, he couldn’t and retired with a score of 3-1 in the third set, after a double fault and after one hour and 59 minutes of play.

Musetti’s injury represents a hard blow for the Italian, who had expressed being playing at a high level before his retirement.
