Salcedo Gets Dressed in Sports for the National School Games
Salcedo, Hermanas Mirabal – The municipality of Salcedo is in full sporting effervescence, welcoming the delegations that will compete in the assigned disciplines as a sub-venue of the XI National School Sports Games.
The event, organized by the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI) under the direction of Alberto Rodríguez Mella, promises to be a display of youthful talent and sportsmanship.
The delegations were received by a logistics team from INEFI and will be staying in modern mobile villas, installed within the Salcedo sports complex. These villas are equipped with air conditioning and all the necessary amenities to ensure the well-being of athletes and technicians.
The competition, which began this Sunday, September 28th, and will run until October 12th, will see thousands of students compete in various disciplines. The main venue for the games is in San Francisco de Macorís, while Salcedo, La Vega, and Nagua serve as sub-venues.
After the welcome lunch, the technical workshops of the disciplines that will have action in Salcedo were held: badminton, handball, volleyball, orienteering, taekwondo and table tennis.
The atmosphere at the sports complex is one of excitement and camaraderie among athletes, coaches, organizers, and fans, with the goal of making this edition the best in the history of the School Games.
