Pasquantino Sends Message to Licey Fans
Kansas City Royals’ starting player, Vinnie Pasquantino, took advantage of a press meeting during the 2026 World Baseball Classic to send a special message to the fans of the Tigres del Licey. The slugger recalled his brief stint in the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) in the 2021-22 season.Pasquantino played in eight games with Licey, batting 4-for-31 for a .133 average, including a home run, two RBIs, and three runs scored. Despite his short time on the team, the player expressed fond memories of his experience in the country and his desire to return to demonstrate his true potential.“I would like to speak to the people of the Dominican Republic quickly. Please invite me back sometime. I apologize for how poorly I played in that league”, the player expressed, looking at the camera.
