Modern Roof Inaugurated at Ozama Sports Club

The Ministry of Sports of the Dominican Republic carried out the inauguration of a modern roof at the Ozama sports and cultural club, located in Santo Domingo Este, this Saturday afternoon. The event was attended by prominent figures, including Vice President Raquel Peña, Minister of Sports Kelvin Cruz, Indotel President Guido Gómez Mazara, and the mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Dio Astacio.During her intervention, Vice President Raquel Peña highlighted the importance of sport as a fundamental pillar for the healthy development of children and young people, emphasizing its role in the prevention of vices and crime. Both the vice president and Minister Cruz called on the community to protect the facilities, emphasizing that the space is not only intended for sports practice, but also for social, political, and religious events.We are delivering a modern sports complex to this hardworking and historic sector nestled in the heart of Santo Domingo Este with an investment that exceeds ninety million pesos, hoping that the community will become vigilant and protectors of this work.
