Mets Deny Rumors about Juan Soto

The New York Mets organization has come forward to deny a report suggesting that Dominican outfielder Juan Soto travels to away games on a private jet, separate from the rest of the team.

According to official statements, Soto travels with his teammates on the team’s charter flight to each city, including the recent trip to Boston on Sunday night. This practice has been maintained throughout the season.

The original report, as has been clarified, arose from an incorrect interpretation of analyst Karl Ravech’s comments during a Sunday Night Baseball broadcast. Ravech mentioned that Soto’s contract includes “off-field benefits” for him and his family, which generated speculation.

None of those benefits affect the player’s travel logistics.

A team spokesperson emphasized that Soto travels with the rest of the squad, including players, coaching staff, and operations personnel, to every away game.

Juan Soto, who signed a contract for 15 years and 765 million dollars, is in his first season with the Mets. As of Monday, his offensive line was .246/.379/.443, with eight home runs in 46 games.

The team reiterated its support for Soto and regretted the dissemination of incorrect information that could affect the player’s image and the harmony within the team.
