Santo Domingo. The Tigres del Licey revved up their engines towards the 2025-26 season of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), kicking off their preseason training with great enthusiasm.

Audo Vicente, general manager and vice president of Operations, highlighted the importance of preparation for the team’s success. “To have a winning season, preparation is essential,” Vicente stated. The executive emphasized the presence of more than 30 players from day one, a clear indication of the group’s commitment.

Veterans and Young Talents Unite

Among the players present, César Valdez, Lisalberto Bonilla, Ulises Joaquín, Michael Féliz, Severino, Paolo Espino and Jorge López stood out. These veterans join a base of young talents from the draft, creating a combination of experience and youth that, according to Vicente, represents the future of the organization.Vicente also praised the performance of young players like Ángel Ortiz, who made a good impression last season and returned in excellent physical shape. Other young players like Domingo Leyva, Luis Barrera, and Yophery Rodríguez are looking to establish themselves in the team.The general manager also praised the commitment of leader Gilbert Gómez and his coaching staff, who, despite having recently won a championship, joined the players from the first day of training.
