Chicago, USA – LeBron James, at 40 years old and about to start his twenty-third season in the NBA, has reaffirmed his relevance and motivation to compete at the highest level with the Los Angeles Lakers.

James: “The End Is Near”

During the media day of the Los Angeles franchise, the star forward emphasized that his extensive career in professional basketball has not diminished his enthusiasm. “For me, it’s about being the best player I can be every day. I know the end is near and I don’t take anything for granted. Being able to keep making plays and being respected on the court is something that gives me a lot of satisfaction,” James stated.

I love to play, for me age is just a number. In the history of this sport there haven’t been many players my age capable of competing at this level. I want to inspire everyone I can.

Maybe it’s because I sleep well.”James, with the number 23 for the Lakers, admitted that although the end is approaching, the uncertainty about his retirement persists. “I am excited about the opportunity to play another year. I don’t know when it will end, but it’s sooner rather than later.
