The Latin Baseball Hall of Fame and Criollos 13 Foundation: A Strategic Alliance

Punta Cana – The Latin Baseball Hall of Fame (SDFBL) announces a strategic alliance with the Criollos 13 Foundation. The objective is to develop joint activities and future international initiatives that promote Latin American baseball. Jesús Feliciano “Motorita”, former professional player and representative of the Criollos 13 Foundation, is a prominent figure in baseball. His career includes Major Leagues, the Puerto Rican Professional Baseball League, the Dominican Professional Baseball League, the Mexican Baseball League, and the Caribbean Series. Feliciano has strengthened the ties between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic through sports. His knowledge of Caribbean baseball and his experience are valuable for the growth of sports projects and the strengthening of ties between both nations.

It’s always a pleasure to think about joint projects that can exalt Latin American baseball. Wherever we can help the growth of the game. This is the step we want to take with the Criollos 13 Foundation where we not only create opportunities in our communities, but we also want to project them towards Latin America.

Héctor Falero, representative of the Mayor’s Office of Caguas, visited Punta Cana to learn about the impact, structure, and international projection of the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame. Falero valued the contribution that a strategic alliance could represent for baseball, Puerto Rico, from a sports, cultural, and tourism point of view.

We have many aspects and goals in common, with respect to our vision of promoting Puerto Rican baseball and its impact on the region and the function and work of the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame, and we see these alliances very positively, because they impact the growth of the game in our countries and also highlight the legacy of our legends.

Robinson Paredes, Executive Director of the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame, highlighted the positivity of the conversations. The aim is to develop high-impact initiatives for the growth of Latin baseball, sports tourism, and cultural integration between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The details and agreements will be revealed at a press conference on June 9, 2026, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Members of the International Committee for the Exaltation of the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame, institutional representatives, and special guests will participate. Puerto Rico is solidifying itself as a venue for sporting and cultural events in 2026. Caguas could be the setting to announce a relevant initiative for Latin American baseball. Something significant is expected to take shape between key baseball institutions in the region.

The interest shown by the Criollos 13 Foundation and figures historically linked to professional baseball demonstrates that there is a serious and committed vision regarding future projects that can benefit the sport and our communities.

The institutions involved will continue with meetings and working groups to strengthen the alliance. The Latin Baseball Hall of Fame will announce in the coming weeks the list of eligible players for the XIII Class of 2026. The commitment to promote initiatives that preserve the history and legacy of figures in Latin American baseball is reaffirmed, promoting new opportunities for sports, cultural, and tourism development for the region.
