Kerr: Defense, Key for the Warriors Without Curry
Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, after Saturday’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, acknowledged the importance of defense in the absence of Stephen Curry. The Warriors, who now have a 1-2 record in the Western Conference semifinals, must adjust their strategy.
“I think if we’re going to win the series it will be with defense. We’re not going to beat them in a skills game: we have to stop them to win the series,” Kerr said in a press conference.

Kerr emphasized that without Curry, the team is different and defense becomes crucial to generate offensive opportunities.
The Timberwolves achieved a close victory with a score of 97-102. The match was characterized by an intense defensive battle.
The fourth game of the series will be played in San Francisco on Monday.
Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with an outstanding performance in the second half, finishing with 36 points. Julius Randle was also key, achieving the first triple-double of his playoff career with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists.
In Golden State, Butler scored 33 points, while Jonathan Kuminga added 30 points and 6 rebounds. The Warriors suffered Draymond Green’s elimination due to fouls in the final quarter.
