Aaron Judge Ties Joe DiMaggio on the Yankees’ Historic Home Run List

Star outfielder Aaron Judge continues to make his mark in New York Yankees history. In Thursday’s game against the Detroit Tigers, Judge hit two home runs that catapulted him to a special place on the franchise’s all-time home run list. With these two home runs, Judge reached 361 in his career, tying legend Joe DiMaggio for fourth all-time on the Yankees. Judge, who already has 45 and 46 home runs in the current season, joins a select group led by Babe Ruth (659), Mickey Mantle (536), and Lou Gehrig (493). The Yankees captain had recently surpassed Yogi Berra (358), solidifying his position as one of the great power hitters in team history.

The first home run of the night traveled 413 feet at a speed of 110.1 mph, while the second, in the third inning, was shot out at 114.9 mph, reaching 434 feet. With this outstanding performance, Judge reached 45 games with multiple home runs in his career, the third most in Yankees history, surpassed only by Babe Ruth (68) and Mickey Mantle (46). In addition, his teammate Giancarlo Stanton also hit a home run in the same inning, marking the 56th time that both players have hit home runs in the same game, including postseason games. Judge, at 33 years old, continues to forge his legacy with the pinstripes, now sharing a place of honor with one of the greatest icons in baseball.
