Codebal Drives Continuous Training for Basketball Coaches
The Dominican College of Basketball Coaches (Codebal) maintains its annual commitment to the training and updating of Dominican coaches through the International Recertification and Update Clinic.
Melvyn López, president of Codebal, announced that the clinic will have the participation of the Spanish coach Paco Redondo, assistant to the Spanish basketball team. The event started this Wednesday and will run until Monday 26.
The inaugural day took place this Wednesday, from 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon, in the Paraninfo of the Faculty of Economics of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD), aimed at coaches of categories C and D of the Metropolitan Zone (National District, Santo Domingo Province) and San Cristóbal.
On Saturday 24th, the clinic will continue in the Tropez hall of the Embassy Hotel in Santo Domingo, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, focused on national coaches of categories A and B from all over the country.
On Sunday 25th, at the same time, coaches from categories C and D of the Eastern Region will be assisted at the UASD Auditorium, Hato Mayor del Rey.
The last session is scheduled for Monday the 26th, intended for coaches of categories C and D from all over the Northern Region, in the Auditorium of the Santiago City Hall.
The 2026 International Recertification and Update Clinic is supported by the Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal), chaired by Rafael Uribe, and sponsored by the Ministry of Sports and the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI), led by Kelvin Cruz and Alberto Rodríguez, respectively.
Additionally, it is supported by BanReservas, Adidas, Opal Jeans, and the Municipal Mayor’s Office of Santiago.
This activity is part of the technical training program that takes place between January and February, promoted annually by Fedombal, under the direction of its president, Rafael Uribe, and aimed at basketball coaches and referees.
