Red Bull Racing has announced the departure of Christian Horner as team principal, a decision that marks the end of an era after two decades of success in Formula 1. Laurent Mekies, coming from Racing Bulls, will take over the leadership.
A Legacy of Triumphs
During Horner’s leadership, Red Bull achieved eight world drivers’ titles and six constructors’ titles. His management was key to positioning the team as one of the most successful and emblematic in Formula 1.Horner, whose contract extended until 2030, was the architect of Red Bull’s golden era, including Sebastian Vettel’s consecutive championships and Max Verstappen’s recent triumphs.We would like to thank Christian Horner for his exceptional work over the last 20 years. The Future of Red Bull
Laurent Mekies, who previously led Racing Bulls, will take the reins of the team.
