San Francisco de Macorís – The Gigantes del Cibao have announced the incorporation of pitcher Adisyn Coffey, a right-handed reliever from the United States, with the aim of reinforcing their bullpen for the current season of the Dominican Baseball League (LIDOM).

A Bullpen Reinforcement

Coffey, 26 years old, joins the team hoping to bring his experience and skills to the pitching staff. The reliever, a native of Albany, Indiana, was selected in the third round of the 2020 draft by the Chicago White Sox, where he stood out for his powerful arm and ability to dominate from the bullpen. During the 2025 season, Coffey had a prominent participation in the Triple-A category with the Charlotte Knights, although he also saw action in Double-A. He finished the campaign with a record of 4 wins and 5 losses, recording an ERA of 5.20 in 44 appearances. In 55.1 innings pitched, the new import from the Gigantes del Cibao demonstrated his ability to strike out batters, retiring 75 via the strikeout. In addition, he recorded a WHIP of 1.45, suggesting his potential and aggressiveness from the mound. The management of the Gigantes del Cibao hopes that Coffey’s experience in high-level minor leagues will strengthen the team’s bullpen.
