Flamengo coach Filipe Luís has issued a statement to clarify his position regarding the racism incident suffered by Vinícius Júnior. Luís’s statements came after the 1-0 defeat to Lanús in the first leg of the Recopa Sudamericana, which generated various reactions.In his statement, Filipe Luís emphasized that racism is an unacceptable behavior that must be combated and punished. The controversy arose following an incident in the Champions League, where Vinícius Júnior reported a racist insult from the Argentinian player Gianluca Prestianni.
